Gift Collection Benefits Seniors
Gift Collection by County Court Administrative Office in Court House Benefits Seniors in Need
The County Court Administrative Office generously donated Holiday gifts to COSA's consumers in need. They raised close to $1,000 by collecting money, selling chances, raffling things off, etc. Their staff also volunteered to do all the shopping, wrapping, and labeling of the gifts, a tremendous project which benefited 143 of COSA's consumers. The consumers who benefited were in COSA's Options, Family Caregiver Support Program, Senior Center at Home, Gateway and Aging Waiver Programs.
It was an overwhelming effort and a demonstration of the true spirit of the season. Everyone in the County Court Administrative Office was very involved with this project, from donating and raising money, to shopping and wrapping the gifts. The gifts were delivered to COSA's consumers by their workers from COSA or Senior Community Services. All the staff from the County Court Administrative Office were very excited about the project and felt good to be able to make a difference by helping out these seniors in need. COSA staff and consumers are very appreciative and grateful for their efforts.
